Another practise - this time glazing. I tried to build up the darker shades with successive layers of gold paint mixed with gloss medium. It worked pretty well but the metalic sheen from the gold meant that it didn't show up too well in the photo. This was done during my stay in Sheffield. I'd hoped to do a painting each night but stalled after this one. I'm lacking inspiration at the moment.
